Founded in 1975, it is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization
with a twofold mission: to understand and clarify the public
point of view on complex policy issues through its extensive
research expertise, and to provide effective communications
that educate citizens so that they can make their own more
informed, more thoughtful decisions. It helps Americans participate
in the policy-making process and enables leaders to respond
more effectively, while enhancing the individuals’ ability
to find workable solutions. It publishes quarterly a newsletter,
America’s Agenda.
